| NEWS AND EVENTS July 2010From July 8-11, Lee Wybranski will be at the 2010 U.S. Women's Open at storied Oakmont Country Club, signing his posters in the Merchandise Pavilion. May 2010Lee Wybranski's 2010 U.S. Open poster, depicting the famed 8th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links, has been completed and is now available. Click here to buy the poster now. April 2010Extending his talents to a new audience, Lee Wybranski has created posters for the 2010 California Wine Festival, to be held on April 20 - 24 in Orange County, California. The festival culminates in a beachfront, all day event at Dana Point, where Lee will be signing posters. The artwork celebrates the sun drenched, southern California setting and participants, with a focus on the wine that is the heart of the festival. December 2009At the club's Christmas Gala, Lee Wybranski unveiled his latest routing, a Centennial painting for the Wellesley Country Club outside of Boston. The artwork celebrates the recently renovated golf course, originally a Donald Ross design, as well as the magnificent, new clubhouse. The party was splendid and the first ten prints of the edition were auctioned off that evening. August 2009For the second consecutive year and the third time in his career, Lee Wybranski created the poster for the U.S. Senior Open Championship. This year the event was contested at the famed Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. The poster showcases the golf course, and its infamous designer Pete Dye. Posters are available in our online store. Also in August, Group W also published Lee's poster celebrating the history of championship golf at The Country Club in Brookline , MA. Commissioned by the club, the art commemorates the many illustrious winners at the legendary course and pays particular homage to Francis Ouimet and the 1999 U.S. Ryder Cup team, captained by Ben Crenshaw. June 2009The 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage was an exciting event for Lee Wybranski and Group W Art Works. Lee appeared at the championship to unveil and personalize a new Limited Edition of silkscreened prints commissioned exclusively for the U.S. Open. The edition of 500 hand-printed serigraphs was inspired by the WPA posters from the 1930s and sold very well - fewer than 50 are available for purchase.Lee also created a new painting of the famed 4th hole on the Black Course and, of course, Group W Art Works designed the official logo for this year's championship." In addition to designing the official event logo, Group W has produced a metal replica of the famous Warning Sign on the first tee of the The Black, for sale only at the Open. March 2009Lee Wybranski has just completed the third in an annual series of posters for the Shell Houston Open. The poster depicts the challenging 11th hole at Redstone Golf Club in a bold and graphic style inspired by the racing posters from the early Sixties. The 2009 SHO is held the weekend before the Masters and has a superb field that includes Padraig Harrington, Sergio Garcia, Ernie Els and Greg Norman. November 2008Artist Lee Wybranski this fall unveiled his most ambitious painting to date, a Golf Course routing commemorating the 100th anniversary of Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. This famed club outside of Philadelphia was the site of many regional and national championships, including a PGA Tour event in the Sixties and Seventies won by both Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. These golfers and several others of note are included in the artwork. See Image October 2008Group W Art Works has completed the official logo design for the 2011 U.S. Open Championship. The championship will be held at the Congressional Country Club outside of Washington, D.C., and the logo features a rendition of the U.S. Capitol dome.
